Hey everyone, I'm not sure if anyone is going to be able to help with this but the game is currently in a really bad situation. To summarize, the game is basically too big for Turbowarp & the amount of detailed art in the game paired with the fact that Scratch/Turbowarp is a really limited engine with few options for loading/unloading has basically made it impossible to run on any PC with less than 32gb of ram. 16gb does largely work but it's kind of unstable. With that level of RAM though you have to often reload the game to avoid crashes. I've kind of hit a brick wall of what to do anymore so I'm wondering if anyone has any kind of knowledge on how I might be able to mitigate this.
If I can't fix this (and unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to) I'm going to just have to release the game with the issue of RAM crashes. There's a couple ways I'm trying to do damage control like by adding tons of save points, getting the player to switch to Microsoft Edge to play the game (Somehow the best browser for the game lmao), and maybe warnings telling you to reload the game at certain intervals. I kind of hate having to resort to those things, but I genuinely don't think I have any other options.
I may also be able to fix this by converting the game fully to bitmap, but it's going to destroy the quality of the game in some places and I don't even know if it'll fix the issue.
The game isn't going to be cancelled because of this (it's fully finished), but unfortunately it's probably going to release in a state that might make it unstable or potentially even unplayable for a lot of people. I'm going to try to resolve this but there's a good chance it's not fixable. Sorry in advance.
