Okay, it’s been over a year since any news about Kamil the Cat 2.
Our fanbase isn’t big, but I honestly am terribly sorry for anyone who has actually been waiting for the game while we sat here doing nothing.
Kamil the Cat 2 project was restarted not once, but two times. The first iteration named Kamil the Cat’s Adventures was supposed to be a 2D top down adventure game.
We realized that this is the funny Kamil from the previous game, so we restarted the project soon. This time the idea was simple - a 2D side-view point and click adventure game.
But we were way too inexperienced - the fact that we have never made a game so big, the fact that we write our games only using C++ and SFML and the fact that I am super lazy made us never finish the project.
And then came 2015 - the project named Next Kamil the Cat game began. It was supposed to reuse everything we made back in 2014 - the engine, which we named Mephius Engine, the graphics, the sounds… but now we see that it’s all crap.
We have leveled up a lot since back then - my programming skills are god-like in comparison to back then, not to mention how bad my graphics were.
Sooo that’s it - the engine has already been rewritten with 95% of the features ready and this time we’re gonna write down the whole story of the game before actually creating it.
