The nominations phase where you can submit all your favorites is open until 16th December 8:30PM GMT
You can start filling out the form below, but before that I'll go over the rules and explaining the categories, and how the awards are presented eventually.
Unified voting but separate awards - Over the years I've had many attempts to fine tune the award system and how it's being used and organized. It started with separate votes in both EU and SA communities, however, I scrapped that right after 2017. It makes sense to unify the community as SA players play in our games and even tournaments and vice versa. Therefore, everyone is welcome to cast votes this year, and spots in the final voting in each category will be given to 3 players from both communities based on nominations. In the final round you can then choose from these 6, 2 of whom will receive the award (South American players get the same awards with a small name alteration). This ensues smoothness in the voting process and doesn't leave either community empty-handed or disheartened.
Categories and eligibility - Most of the categories stay the same as usual, you can nominate the same player across multiple if you feel like they've had great impact. I've never really gone over the details of Fair Play Award, but I'll try to give a picture of what a player that deserves it should be. A fair play in TPM often involves great communication, agreement to kick the ball out while opponents are having issues/disconnections, scoring an own goal if necessary if their team has abused an illegal power play situation, or just being a great leader and staying calm, resolving difficult situations in game. Now the last and the new category, Community Star, is for players who have gone great lengths to build a nice community atmosphere, helping out new players, organizing events, whatever possible to make TPM an enjoyable experience not just inside the game itself. The idea for this came from seeing so many new community initiatives this year, more than any other previously. We saw a total of 6 (if not more) various events and tournaments this year, with more to come (an invitational organized by S4yed and casted on twitch). I'm thanking every single of you for making this possible and laying ground to the future of TPM.
Every common sense rule applies, again, you have time to do so until the 16th of December 8:30PM GMT. Cheers and have fun
