Introduction:
Roll up! Roll up! The carnivals back in town; new and improved spreading leaflets all around. This brochure covers everything to do with this game, all written by our resident clown.
So what is Midnight Haze? Good question; stop interrupting me. Stop me if this sounds familiar. You play as a nightguard, tasked with performing odd jobs at a run-down carnival only to discover you got more than you bargained for. A combination of the classic mascot horror flavours however with my own creative spin on it.
For one, the entire game uses a 16-bit pixel art style on a 2D surface. This creates a survival style gameplay as you dodge and weave foes to survive the night.
Gameplay:
The game loop focus around *gasp* a night survival system. Balance your tasks with avoiding a variety of monsters. Each night poses a slightly different challenge so ensure you are prepared for anything.
Make sure to prepare for the worst - the carnival skims on it's facility budgets.
Of course you don't spend all your time in the dark, there's stuff to do before your shift. Make sure to say hello to your new coworkers!
Everyone at the carnival is smiling!
Story
As if I'm going to spoil that in this post. Unlike that re-used joke the story is a breath of fresh air in the often copy-pasted plot-threads of mascot horror. In fact no children were harmed in the making on this!
The main idea is you work the graveyard shift at a rundown carnival - where you complete odd-jobs to keep the funfair in ship-shape (boat not included).
Make sure to look around; it could alter the fate of everything
Closing thoughts:
As for everything else, it will have to wait until the full release. I will see you then.
