The next build of Final Orbit...

Any of you loyaly following the development of my other project, 'The Kingdom of Raywin', will know the struggles I am having with game development at the moment.

Long story short, without the money to fork out for Game Maker Studio 2, I'm stuck.

My clunky old Windows laptop finally gave up on me and, being an Apple specialist by trade, I was able to replace it quite quickly with a 2012 MacBook pro. With a couple of upgrades, it became the best computer I have ever owned based on performance.

The issue with crossing that Windows/Mac divide is- Game Maker Studio will not work on Mac. I tried setting up a virtual machine but, due to my ineptitude, it just didn't work.

I'd really like to release a new build of Final Orbit 2. I need to rebalance the game for the sake of fun, I'd like to release a Mac version, and there are some annoying bugs with the HTML5 version I'd like to fix. Also, there are some narrative elements I'd like to add.

I'd like to get GM:S:2- however, I am also going to attempt running my old laptop's hard drive via USB using the MacBook. The only problem is, I am beginning to suspect that drive is failing and I risk losing all the data on it.

You can support development just as easily as playing the game for free. The ad revenue may start to add up. Share the game with your friends. Try to beat the high score between you. Be active in the community. If you really want to support development, you can optionally pay for the game.

Thanks to all of you so far who have played the game and all those who play it in the future.

Happy Spooky Month!

We added a kitty!

Here's my annoying bug-fixing story...

Gearing up for early access! Also, sorry the game (and my account) keep vanishing. Allow me to explain...

I really must congratulate the first official player of Final Orbit 2 for their committal!

It's all coming together! I'm ahead of schedule.

The options are functional and, you may have noticed, you are now able to log in using your Game Jolt username and game token.

Slow day today! I added some tutorial elements. (I also worked on some failed shader stuff but we won't talk about that)

The story of 'Going Down' is falling into place nicely. The visuals are looking lovely. The atmosphere is spooky with more than a touch of mystery.

I am very happy with progress!

"All of it... amounts to this..."

We've been quiet but busy. Time for an update!

The Windows version crashes... play the HTML5 version for now. I've programmed a fix for it, I'll release the patch soon!

I'm now trying to fix the weird floating box... it doesn't appear in the HTML5 version, only the Windows.

Taking its time, but not forgotten...
