The Road-map ahead for Smashbob: Whats coming with the 1.1.0 Update

Here I am going to outline the features upcoming in a major update to Smashbob, but first some context on the games history and how we got here;

I have been working on this game (on and off) since 2016. It has gone through 4 major redesigns, as well as 1 redesign that meant scrapping the entire games work in 2017. About 3 months ago, I found the resolve to finally finish it, and stripped the game down to its core elements and rebuilt it from the ground up with a focus on speed running. I set a deadline of March 2nd, and when I got there I wanted to be done with it and move on to another game.

However, the people who have played this game both in testing after launch have given me overwhelmingly positive feedback, so ive decided to add more content to the game and flush out the game play more, as well as add some more features and quality-of-life changes. So far, these are as follows:

  • The option to continue from the last level you beat before quitting when coming back to the game.

  • A button that instantly brings you to a stop.

  • The ability to smash ALL enemies.

  • More level obstacles that make it harder to smash through levels without regard for where your going.

The 1.1.0 update should be out in the next couple of weeks. until then, have fun and SMASH ON!

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
