HTB'sAA was supposed to be a stereotypical creepypasta game inspired by the Catto Boi Saga (the old saga, before the remakes). If you don't know who Catto Boi is then go to toadbump land. Anyway, that version never went anywhere. The only public reminisce of it right now is a test stage prototype submitted for a game jam. (I was not completing the damn game in a week.)
That old game has been scrapped for a while now, and with the final Catto Boi game, Requiem, being out for a while now, I figured I might as well give this idea a shot again. Project Hoppy is essentially gonna be a fangame / love letter to the Catto Boi Saga, incorporating many of the 4th wall breaks seen in those games. (Although due to the limitations of Scratch / Turbowarp, it might utilize more on the window moving then file searching.)
Development has not begun yet because
1. I got 3 projects I want to get through before this one, and
2. I got high school to go through.
(Also my parents are planning to get me an actual computer if I do well this grade which will definitely speed up development substantially now that I won't be stuck on a Chromebook.)
As for now, it's still in the drafting phase, with the fate of the project unknown. (The image is one of the ideas I have for the revamped look for the character.)
If possible, I would like to get at least a musician on board to make some banger tunes for the game, but if not then just pre-existing video game music would be fine. The game is gonna be free either way. Also, maybe some play testers too? Again, everything is still far from final, so the project could turn right around before we expect.
I hope scope creep doesn't bite me with this, because I really, REALLY want to work on this. But what do you guys think? Do you think I could actually pull it off? I wanna hear your feedback as I would really appreciate it.
