In Beloved Bound, I decided not to use traditional key poses for walk-cycle animations. My goal is to create decent animations with a minimal frame count, like 3–6 frames.
Head Bop: I use the head bop to determine the pose for each frame. The high point indicates the "stretch," while the low point is the phase where the legs are widest apart.
Main Movements: These involve the body, arms, and legs. Foo has a wider pose to make him feel more energetic, while Hati's is more like a walk than a run.
Secondary Movements: These are extra, overlapping animations like hair, tails, or capes. They follow the rhythm of the main body but move on their own loops.
