Very rarely in the beginning of Chester's were their any mascots in total, though that was changed in the late 50's with the first costume, "papa birdie" to be their for the first batch of "his" toy line. The costume was basically an up-scaled of the original plush, though with this upscaling, something kind of altered the design during the creation process, so it looks off... in a way. The one from the 80s was a lullaby toy, and is much more well put together, designed TO be a mascot while still looking like the toy. It has the same blinking feature like the toy (though done differently) and more made to be human-fit so they can traverse a little easy. Their was also one for the "Sewage pack", for out luck! In fact, their was a campaign were a bunch of out lucks were placed across the world, with a working string! Though, most were destroyed after their re-call

Here's more into on the company that made Chester's, known as "Playware Electronics". The company had made fairly large booms in the toy business during the 80s, but they did eventually have some flops
