Truck City Demo v0.33 update notes


Truck City v0.33-Demo has just been released. This is the change log:

  • Feature: search bar in loading port building menu is now always visible.

  • Improvement: tutorial 1 added road tile next to loading port to make the tutorial more intuitive

  • Improvement: tutorial 3 will wait until sufficient input warehouses are built, and will wait for individual factories to be completed before jumping to the next one

  • Feature: loading ports missing buildings will show a flashing ! sign on top of them. The objective is providing a more visual feedback to the player that the factory is not ready to be productive.

  • Feature: zooming implemented in the science menu

  • Improvement: better factory error state reporting

  • Improvement: translated some missing error messages. Improved existing translations

  • Improvement: destroy SFX volume -5db

  • Bugfix: full dependency graph may become unresponsive in some circumstances

In Godot I added a short FogVolume which covers the whole map, then modify its density at night.

DirectionalLight3D progressively changes intensity and colors at dawn and night, and back again to white at sunrise

Truck City Demo has been released!

Provides a preview of the game, including the tutorials and a demo map. The full game unlocks more missions, sandbox mode, custom maps, and more!
