Update 1.2 Released

This update greatly improves the saving and loading system for the game, making any future update no longer break older save files. That said, unfortunately this update is not compatible with previous version save files. Any future updates will be smaller but will not break save files in any way.

Added:

  • Hardcore run times are now uploaded to GameJolt as a score (only completed runs)

  • Keyboard rebinding (Steam controller now useable)

  • Added a couple more easter eggs

Changed:

  • Body parts can now be impaled by spikes and bleed constantly

  • Saving now also occurs after every level completion and is more efficient

  • Patching will no longer break old save files

  • Resetting the level kills the player (counts as a death) instead of resetting everything

  • Adjusted controller vibration in the transition rooms

  • Falling sound now continues to play during the transition rooms

  • Now displays the grayed out text “Hardcore” instead of “[Locked]” on the menu

  • Ambience volume is initialized at 80% now for a better audio balance

  • Updated the credits

Level Updates:

  • Increased difficulty of both intro levels in part two, decreased part one difficulty for orb in intro 1

  • Increased difficulty of intro 2 for part two in hardcore

  • Decreased difficulty of getting the orb on level 9 in hardcore

  • Increased difficulty of getting the orb on level 12 for part two of normal and hardcore

  • Decreased difficulty of getting the orb on level 13 in hardcore

  • Decreased difficulty of getting the orb on level 14 in hardcore

  • Decreased difficulty of getting the orb in part one for levels 14, increased part two difficulty

  • Decreased difficulty of getting the orb on level 15 in hardcore

  • Decreased difficulty of level 17 in hardcore

  • Decreased difficulty of level 21 in hardcore slightly

  • Decreased difficulty of level 22 in hardcore significantly

  • Decreased difficulty of getting the orb on level 23 for part two of normal and hardcore

Fixed:

  • Fixed an audio bug with the text objects

  • Fixed a bug in hardcore where some fake spikes would still appear

  • Fixed a bug where dying in adventure could crash the game

  • Setting for controller vibration is now correctly saved and loaded

  • Fixed a bug where the last trophy was unachieveable (whoops)

  • Fixed a bug where the game could crash after part one

  • Fixed a bug where the gamepad could vibrate even when disabled

  • Fixed a bug with the loading sound after completing the game

  • Fixed a bug that made the hardcore timer flicker

  • Fixed a character skin idle animation bug

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
