Update 1.4 Difficulty Selector

I've added a difficulty selector in the settings for anyone who feels like they want to spice their gameplay up a bit! You can pick between Normal and Hard. Normal is the default, while Hard makes the game feel like the first version (1.0). You can only change the difficulty on the Main or Extra Menus or during cutscenes, not in the middle of the game.

Hard mode disables a couple of things that are present in the normal mode:

  • The Headcrab will not make a sound when spawning

  • Enemies who previously had the ability to extend other enemies attack timer when entering/leaving your office will not do that.

When beating 5/20 mode on hard, you will unlock... another chumtoad! (His name is Old Chum)

Hard mode serves just as an optional harder version of the game, as I feel like the recent patch have made the game almost play by itself on how forgiving it was

Other changes unrelated to Hard Mode:

  • The Scientist and Zombigaunt add to the Security Guard's attack timer 1/1.5 seconds less than before

  • Added two new sprites for when the Scientist or Zombigaunt return to their initial position

  • Updated the AI Levels of the characters on each night a bit

This game was always meant to be challenging. The Headcrab was added to make players check their office now and then, which is why it never made any sound. The Security Guard forced players to quickly choose whether to keep watching the Scientist or shoot threats in the office, or quickly look after him. Giving the Guard extra time whenever someone entered the office just didn’t feel right to me.

I feel like this is the best of both worlds, since I love hard games that really give me a challenge but I also know that!

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

a drawing I did because I was bored😪. But I love how it turned out.😊

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)
