Update 2!

Despite the lack of public updates regarding current progress, we've been working hard to complete Installment 2.

Here's some details about how the development is going and what will await you in our future release!


LAMBDARUNE Game Update, Chapter 3: Installment 2. Progress Update 2!

The biggest challenge from Installment 1 was creating a functional overworld system, and Installment 2 goes way further with the completion of a full battle engine that supports 3 party members and complex ACTs from scratch.

Most time developing Installment 2 was for creating the battle engine while making cutscenes on the side, but now that the battle engine can be considered complete, progress for the rest of LAMBDARUNE's chapters onward can truly pick up in speed.

Chapter 3 Installment 2 will have 5 main segments. Here's the progress on all of them:

- Fighting The Midnight (Kreid Battle) = Completed, only needs final touches

- Remastered Primflower Shop = Completed, Only needs final touches

- Showtime Is Over (Maximike Battle) = Being playtested, only needs final touches

- Signal Of Freedom (Foane Finale) = In development, multiple scenes already made + Foane's special attack V1 complete

- Epilogue (Chapter 3 Ending) Fully written, in development and a scene already completed.

In general, this is the point where we expect progress to go a lot faster; if we had to make these fights in animated form, they'd take much longer to develop.

We're still limited with our team (lack of standby sprite artists + tileset artists whenever the main members are occupied), which is why development has been slower than we wish despite our best efforts in completing Installment 2 quick.

Regardless, progress has been exceptionally good compared to most fangames! Installment 2 is already way longer than Installment 1, and it’s shaping up to be over 3 times as long as the previous installment.

We hope Installment 2's full release will give us enough attention for dedicated artists and creators to help us finish the remaining chapters of LAMBDARUNE in a way we don't feel the need to cut corners for.

Dedicated team members are, honestly, the difference between actual fun development and months of setback.

Update 1! Originally we planned to rush a bit to get something out before the release of the official chapters, but since that isn't possible anymore, we're consolidating the quality of the project instead. Slow but steady progress has been made!

We put up a new build for Lambdarune! (0.2.0)

This is a quick balancing fix for most of the game, with fixes for various softlocks. In the coming days, another update should happen to iron out some final details and fix up minor visual inconsistencies.

Nearly all segments are complete— only minor modifications and one segment pending.
