Hello everyone it’s been awhile since the last update I’m sorry that the next demo is taking so long but there’s something that I have to tell you all now I have told some people this so they already know what’s going on and since it’s been going on for awhile now it’s time for me to explain what’s going on, why isn’t the next demo out yet and what is the state of the development. It is not going well at all last year we couldn’t get hardly anything done matter of fact we couldn’t even get started on the basic map design for dungeon 3 which is the Cartoon Cartoon Castle until about September of that year. Now why is that? Well it’s a long story, for starters my main programmer Minha has been busy as all hell multiple business trips since he is a psychiatrist and was a teacher at a university so he’s been getting less and less free time to help me with the game.

Since I’am the director I unfortunately am limited to what I can do in terms of actually developing the game aside from testing the levels and fixing glitches and stuff in terms of actually designing the areas, adding items etc.. unfortunately that job is left to Minha and well, I’ve pretty much had to play the waiting game because I don’t want to get him pissed off at me like he did earlier last year when he yelled at me because I only talk to him about the game and said we needed other subjects to talk about. To be fair it was my fault and I was getting impatient and was starting to get to the point of pestering however I didn’t want to lose another helper on the game with pestering that person to work faster as it happened before.

So I waited until he can get time to work on the game which then lead to a lot of things going wrong in Minha’s life one of which involved him getting an attempted robbery to happen to his family when their safe was almost stolen, which caused them to have to move out which meant Minha had to quit his teaching job. That was just one major issue that happened the second is his computer was messing up so bad that he had to get it reformatted which caused him to lose the rpg maker vx ace program and sadly he doesn’t have the money to rebuy right now he doesn’t have steam and I highly doubt he plans on getting it, which means the development of the game is on ice until he rebuy’s rpg maker vx ace which this game was built with.

Now that’s just a problem with my main programmer my artist on the other hand has completely vanished without a trace who’s name is Zerodius. Now he has not been giving much much info on what’s been going on in his life and I would ask him about the ed edd n eddy rpg except for one thing he literally said and I quote “You will not get an answer if you ask me that question again” so basically he’s no longer on the team which means Minha and I are the only ones left as we have been unsuccessful at getting anymore help and it has been 3 years now and I have given up hope because reality sat in for me and that is no one cares about making ed edd n eddy fangames anymore therefore they have no interest in helping me with this game and I wish I was the only fangame maker that has this issue but it is not the case I’ve seen several ed edd n eddy fangames not even making it outta the pre-alpha stages because no one else wanted to help them so they ended up getting canceled.

I’m honestly at the end of my rope here this game is now in development hell there’s no way we’re gonna make the deadline of January 4th 2019 which was the target release date of the full game I’m pretty much at the mercy of waiting for who knows how long until Minha gets the time and the rpg maker vx ace program to continue work on this game it really makes me sad. We were so close we had one more dungeon left to make before the next demo was ready we even had almost all of the ed edd n eddy character sprites edited to look like their cartoon counterparts using the rpg maker vx ace character generated sprites things were going good maybe not smoothly but we were making progress and now it’s really up to fate now on whether or not the game finally gets done.

I’am so so so sorry to everyone that has played the game and has followed the game I have let you all down I couldn’t keep my promise I promise you guys a new updated demo and I failed. I’am grateful for everyone who’s played this game and has done small LP’s of it I watched every single one of them and I thank you for it. Hopefully things will get better only time will tell.
