Hi. This is QSV speaking, again.
First of all, I want to say that the response from the community was absolutely incredible. I didn't think anybody would come forward, but now I have enough members on trial, and at least one of them is bound to be good, so now, team-wise, Tales of Underlegends is basically all set for further development with no additional roadblocks.
After thinking and calculating the amount of time that each area is going to need, I sadly have to say that a demo for this won't be out before 2022. There is still so much stuff I need to add, places to draw, mechanics to code, basically the entire package is not even halfway done yet, and I can't dedicate any more time to this than I currently am.
But, due to my expertise in other areas, I think I can say that this won't take too long going into 2022, though people have to playtest, and I have to re-evaluate things in the event that any bugs are found and I don't create more in the process.
Under perfect circumstances, assuming that nothing goes wrong and everything is made exactly how I want it to be, I can possibly get a demo out by January. It's going to be a long ride, and it could possibly extend into February, but as Gabe Newell says;
These things, they take time.
It will likely take longer than I expect/publicly state, but it all really depends on how the quality in development goes. Some of the most famous fangames out there are either broken, unpolished, unbalanced or not even tested. I don't want to be one of those people who shove out a product that is only 22% done.
And yes, there will always be room for more, should I wish to take anyone else on. But it's not going to be that easy. We're all working nice and steady at the moment, so if we do decide to accept others, it will probably not be until Chapter 2 starts... maybe even Chapter 3.
At least I'm taking everything and everyone into account when designing this game.
