"updated frequently" i said. last post was over a week ago lol. might as well give an update as to the development.


it's been a bit since my last post, but don't worry, here's a list of something that i've been working on!

-ive changed the house model to be the one included with the template, mainly because it fixes texture issues. the house doesn't have holes for windows above the first floor anymore, but ill learn how to use blender to make it more accurate to where they were in the pre-alpha

-changed the lighting to make it look more natural and more accurate

-the neighbor now has footstep sounds! and the footstep sounds for the player line up better with the walking/running speed/animation. running footsteps no longer play twice per step

-ive began working on the main map again, so now there's grass! as well as a few new objects and items....

-the neighbor doesn't slide in his look around animation anymore

-item sounds are more dynamic, ie you can hear the tv and radio from further away than a hammer or trash can

-implimented some sounds that randomly play while you're in the neighbor's house. oh, also the ambience finally works as it does in the pre-alpha

once i get some more work done ill post another update video, but for now, enjoy some updated screenshots!

new inventory sneak peek?

hello again! development has once more started up! not too much has changed since the last patch, except for a few noticeable differences... but the first major thing ive added is nails, along with a difference in mechanics between the hammer and crowbar!

the keycard terminal has been added! and for the first time EVER, it will exist alongside the keypad, rather than replacing it (clarification, the keycard will NOT be used one the basement door)

updated lemon tree design! and now you can pick the lemons off it! (tree model made by me, lemons model and texture made by @ctarchaxis , who is now the official modeler for hello neighbor reborn!)

second floor room teasers! decoration for the second floor is around 60% done, give or take. there's still A LOT of work that needs done, so alpha 1 is still a little ways off. but i hope it'll end up being worth the wait!

updated the lighting a little bit! here's a little teaser of what it looks like so far! (morning -> midday -> evening -> night)

another quick video comparing the old bulbholder sparking sounds to the new ones which are the exact ones shown off in the prototype! (as well as the new stair mechanic lol)

another day, another unused feature added back into hnr...

this time, fireworks!!
