v0.2.4 -The Holy Grail

I was daft to make an update like this...but I did it anyway!

It sank in the swamp...so I built a 2nd one!

That sank in the swamp...so I built a 3rd one!

It burned down, fell over, then sank in the swamp...but the 4th one stayed up!


Guess what kind of jokes are in this segment...

Bugs:

-If a "Fur Coat" somehow made its way into your inventory (the bug)...equipping it would cause it to lock onto that character (working as intended)

--So the "Fur Coat" is now its own equipment type, only equipable by those select few who are supposed to be wearing it

--"Fur Coat"s can also now be sold

-Willow (glitch hero, only available in zone 6 of Transporter Hell) was set to be "Human" instead of "Human/Cat"

Plugins:

-BattleAniSpeedOpt added...you can change the battle animations speed in the options menu.

--"Full" is the default for normal version, "Faster" is the default for Lite

Ninja:

-Shurikens are no longer instant cast (because auto-battle wasn't using them properly)

-Shuriken recasts increased from 2/3/5 to 3/4/5 turns

-Shuriken no longer generate TP, instead costing 10/20/40 TP

-Shuriken now deal a static 100/150/250 physical damage of the Shuriken element (special element that very few things have any resistance to) for the 1st shuriken

--Ichi throws 4 additional shuriken (@20 damage each if you roll 1-4, 40 for a 5-8 roll, 60 for 9-13, 80 for 13-16, 100 for 17-20)...180-500 damage

--Ni throws 12 additional shuriken (runs the same events as Ichi 3 times)...390-1350 damage

--San throws 20 additional shuriken (runs same events as Ichi 5 times)...650-2250 damage

-These are subject to an accuracy check...the character actually throwing the additional ones has a base 100% accuracy (instead of the normal base 85%)

-All Shuriken are thrown randomly

-Those damage numbers look pathetic...but they ignore stats...and with Ninja's low attack, good rolls could easily out-damage higher TP skills

-Ninja now has Ice, Fire, and Thunder magic...using a similar system to the new shurikens

--Ichi/Ni/San learned at lv10/30/50, with 3/4/5 turn recasts, and 5/10/20 MP costs

--Ichi has 1 chance of 300 dmg all enemies 2nd strike, min roll to activate is 7 (~70% chance)

--Ni has 3 chances of 2nd strike, min rolls 5 for 1st, 11 for 2nd, 17 for 3rd (80%/50%/20% chances)

--San can have up to 5 2nd strikes...1st is guaranteed, 2nd at 3+, 3rd at 7+, 4th at 13+, 5th at 19+ (90%/70%/40%/10%)

Samurai:

-"Pommel Strike" is now "Blade Bash"

--No longer instant, no longer generates TP, costs 10 TP

--Now deals a normal attack's worth of Blunt damage +50/50 chance of knockdown (similar to a shotgun Gunner's "Bean Bag" ability)

-New ability: Shikikoyo (Lv25)

--Costs 50 TP, increases all party members' TP by 20 (including the user)

--Instant casting, no recast (if you really wanna use 3 Samurai to fill the 4th person's TP from 0 to 100 in 1 turn...be my guest)

-New ability: Shockwave (Lv15)

--10 TP, deals a normal attack's worth of Wind damage to all enemies +20% chance of knockdown, requires a Katana

Geomancer:

-"Dark Spirit" damage increased 3x

-"Light Spirit" healing increased from "caster's max HP/3" to /2

Attack on Kugane:

-Ninja enemies can now use their version of Shuriken: Ichi on turn 1 and every 3 turns thereafter (should they choose to do so), and their version of Shuriken: Ni on turn 3 and every 4 thereafter

--These will throw 4 20/40 or 40/60 damage shurikens at random party members

-Samurai enemies can now use "Blade Bash" at will with a frequency setting of 4

-"Goddess Sun" takes greatly reduced damage from Shurikens

-Y (as a student of Sun) takes somewhat reduced damage from Shurikens

Sewer Shark:

-A call out added at 1st time start about how opening chests powers up the enemies

-Power up progression lowered from 1.5x/3x/6x to 1.35x/2.5x/4x for normal 1.2x/2.3x/3.4x for Lite

-EXP boost progression lowered from 3.75x/7.5x/15x to 3x/7x/10x for normal 2.5x/5x/7.5x for Lite

-Sharks damage output also lowered by adjusting their skills' mods

-Sharks base stats lowered...attack stats by 20%, defense stats by 20-25% (slight variations added)

Zombie Tower 1&2:

-Zombie groups reduced from 8 enemies to 6

-Bite and Scratch damage lowered 20%

Transporter Hell:

-Enemy groups will now check Franseska's level (because it would be a massive PITA to check the large pool of others) at start of 1st turn

--If Fran's lv is <100, enemy attack/defense/magic attack will be reduced 20% (no effect on EXP, unlike Sewer Shark powering up)

--If Fran's lv is <75, stat reduction is 40%

--<50, 60% reduction

--<25, 80% reduction

--This does not apply to zone 3 (drones) or zone 7 (chickens) because they have absurdly low stats already and are strictly for annoyance, nor zone 10 (giant robots) because your glitch hero will be 1-shotting them even at lv1 anyway...these would have made sense when there was a linear progression through these zones with comments from both sides of the conflict...but that's long gone

-When first entering, Troop 555's...sole member...will now contact you with a brief description of how it works (as if it wasn't obvious)

--This bit of dialogue disappears when a self switch is ON...which happens earlier in the event if your number of zone clears is NOT 0...ensuring it only happens on initial entry despite the same common event running every time you change zones

-Comments!

--After putting in the above notes about the comments being gone...I decided to reconstruct them...sorta

--After zoning in, but before hero glitching...a box or two from Pepper, with zones 6 and 10 having a box from Luna

--After hero glitching on 6 and 10 will have a follow up conversation (with 10 having 2 variants regarding the weapon the glitch hero is equipped with)

-In accordance with the new enemy weakening system...Franseska's class will now be randomized after the hero glitch in zone 1, 11, and 12 (the RvB based zones)

--Franseska's level will be corrected to 20 after the change (if the new class was <20, it'll be 20 now) and she'll get a full restore (even if she didn't actually change classes)

--This uses a d20 and excludes: White Mage, Black Mage, Enchanter, Summoner, Necromancer, Scholar, Geomancer, and Biker

--The menu screen will be opened to give you a chance to change equipment

-Soldier-71A and B can use the enemy version of Shuriken: Ichi (with the same conditions as the Kugane Ninjas)

Story Progression:

-Return to Springfield to activate the switch for Lizzy's 2nd call (this event was already in place...so if you already have, you're good)

-Travel to sector 7 to trigger the actual call

-As per instructions within the call...return to 479 HQ

-Enjoy the highly suggestive spa scene

-Witch Trial
