Version 0.6.6: added platforms, expanding the first level

(this is a copy of a post I just made on my dev blog. It would be nice of you to follow me there :D)

I just made an update on WWW: it now has platforms (player stands on top of them), vanishing platforms (disappear when player steps on it) and moving platforms (moves over a defined path). Also, the level is longer now.

The first level of WWW is a direct adaptation of the first level of VVVVVV. I had to stop building it because I hit a point where, on VVVVVV, the platforms are introduced to the player. Now I can continue to build the level.

You can check it out on the development version of WWW and the changes on the source (GitHub). Unfortunately it’s not stable as I can’t figure out an irritating problem on collisions.

Here’s a comparison:

We are under attack!

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Heya! I wanted to show some gameplay progress i made so far. I hope you like it ^^

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Here's a Fredbear sprite i made in Aseprite! I'm pretty proud of this!

(Btw, sorry for the double post! I'll try to post less)
