Future Plans for the Game

Horror Boy Classic was a game I made for a game jam recently. It evolved into something else over the course of the jam. I still have so many ideas for the game’s story itself and would like to keep pushing the game forward.

UPDATE (fixing minor bugs and adding new stuff)

  • Added a title screen for you to choose which game to play on the Horror Boy (PAC-MAN is still the only featured game but if people like this game enough, I’ll start development on the locked cartridges as well)

  • Added an in game pause menu where you change options like volume and gamma

  • Added a loading screen that gives you tips on how to work the game better

  • Fixed a bug where the heart beats would go crazy if more than one ghost was near.. No more!

  • Fixed a bug that was annoying for some players, the ghosts’ sound effects such as the growls or laughter are now toned down and happen less often

Suggestions

If you guys have any suggestions, I’d like to hear them! Do you like the game? What are you hopeful for in the future? Here are some things I’m thinking of fixing and adding

  • The collisions with the walls are pretty sticky so I want to fix that soon

  • A friend of mine, Toby, complained that there was no option to full screen the game. This is an issue with the GUI of the game and I want to be able to fix it and get you guys a full screen option soon! It’ll take some time

  • I definitely want to start working on the other cartridges and if you guys want me to, be sure to show your support!

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
