If you wanna know how I did it I did a similar thing with how Tails is in the Genesis games where he's tail sprites and body sprites are drawn individually
This will only be for certain animations, but for for some other animations I can get away with using this technique

They're in! They're tricky to deal with since they're fast and can jump over large gaps, but you are able to jump on them if you time it right, or you can use Benji's flame thing since it extends reach making it easier to hit them

I think I'm almost done with the editor UI overhaul, there's probably gonna be more smaller bits I add later on but I think this is the best I can get it to

Did the same thing with the Slumber Dragons and made a bitmap sprite for the Feldyr as a placeholder for it
