Just Keep Running - Version 1.1.1 & Original Soundtrack Release!
Soundtrack, Articles, and a new Hotfix release!
Good day! We’ve got a new hotfix release of the game, which mainly contains changes to 1-3 to hopefully make the concept of Gate Puzzles more obvious, and other performance adjustments & bug fixes.
You can find the full changelog at the bottom of this article.
We’ve also got some other interesting announcements, so keep reading…
Original Soundtrack
One of my favourite reviews I’ve gotten for the game is this one on Itch. It’s an equalizer, both positive and negative, yet it also makes me really proud at the same time.
So for anyone legitimately interested, on May 26th, expect to find Just Keep Running’s Chapter 1 Soundtrack released in its entirety both on the I.M.I.Self YouTube Channel, but also (hopefully) on all major streaming platforms!
More in-depth articles coming soon!
I’ve had a lot of fun writing these articles going more in-depth into the game, how it was developed, and how its many systems work, so expect to see more articles like these the next following weeks 😀
Some of the titles of the articles include… From DAW to Dusk, No Time to Waste, and Strenght in Diagrams.
Speedrunning Compilation
If you haven’t seen our Speedrunning Compilation video on YouTube, check it out! Our playtesters and I have had a blast trying to beat each other's best times.
Full Changelog
[1.1.1] - 2023-05-13
CHANGED
Stage 3 of 1-3: Moved Gate Puzzle Screen to the other side of the room and made it much more prominent for the sake of showcasing how Gate Puzzles work in a clearer way.
Rebuilt Lighting, Occlusion, and Reflections. Modifications have been made to how the lighting behaves when building, so it should look a little better overall
FIXED
1-3 performance issues, the cause seemingly being real-time reflection probes performing worse in Unity 2022.
Resolution settings not instantly showing the correct options when, for example, switching from one monitor to another.
Respawning sometimes not actually repositioning the player or stage objects to their “respawn point”.
REMOVED
Unused files and assets
KNOWN ISSUES
Lighting in some areas of the game might (still) look odd or incorrect
Changelog formatting is partly based on [Keep a Changelog] (https://keepachangelog.com/en/1.1.0/). Version numbers are formatted as such…
MAJOR.MINOR.HOTFIX
Major releases tend to include broad visual & technological additions or overhauls of major systems that might invalidate older game versions, such as save files.
Minor releases include changes that are significant but do not include anything that may invalidate older versions of the game.
Hotfix releases include Quality of Life changes or fixes to other bugs and issues.
