WELCOME EVERYONE TO OUR HALLOWEEN DEVLOG!


Welcome all to our 2nd OFFICIAL devlog!

| STORY PROGRESS |

Our progress on finishing the entire chapter 1 is going well! with our recent decision on cancelling the demo we've gone full throttle with detailing our story even more! it also means that our team is working hard to improve our tilesets, before we get into anything major, i'd like to introduce a new character that will be popping up frequently throughout chapter 1! everyone give a warm welcome to Magritte!!

She's an apprentice of the fabled Muffet! and as of right now she's gonna be quite a character to be seen in the ruins! selling her treats and food to you as you progress!

Our team as a whole as decided to shift from quite a lot of things, we've changed a whole lot of our story to make it far more original and interesting, some of the more major changes is our papyrus design, we've changed how he looks due to getting a few complaints that have now been resolved, from now on, instead of armour he will be using a shield for protection! Other than designs the biggest change is our hotland encounter! we've completely removed sans from it, which means a fight between mettaton and flowey


| CODING PROGRESS |

Due to some luck and waiting, our team now has a fully functional engine with a proper coding team thats working extra hard to bring an amazing chapter 1 to you all!


| MUSIC PROGRESS |

I'd like to welcome back cass! they left our team for a short time period due to some issues but has returned with some banger music! i'd like to do an honorable mention to HK since he made some of our music as well!


| SNEAK-PEAKS / CONCEPTS |

The final segment, i'd like to dedicate to the concepts for our designs, so below is a few photos of the concepts that the team has come up with!

Seen below can be our old papyrus design, along with a few concept poses that might make it into the final fights

Next up we have sans! for the ruins battle he wasnt meant to be all that quirky with poses but we thought of a few poses he could pull but scrapped it, instead i used it in our first devlog

Below, is the concept design for toriels new home! thats right, we're redesigning most of the ruins to be a whole lot more original, looking back at the sketch however, i think we made the house a little too long

fun fact! the reason why our sprites are grey and not white was originally due to a glitch from my laptop but after fixing it, people told me to keep the sprites grey so thats now the entire style for this au!
