Hi guys.

You’re probably all wondering where the next update for the multiplayer demo is. It’s been quite a long time since the last one, and less people are online nowadays since they’ve pretty much completed everything the demo had to offer in the last update. Also, the progress of the new update has been 96% for a while now, so surely it should be done by now, right?

Well unfortunately no. I really want to release Update 13 because it adds so much more content (like, a LOT of content) which will probably keep most of you guys busy for hours or even days, but I don’t have the time to finish the last bits right now, and I won’t for a while.

All I have left to do for the update is to finish up the final sections of it, which should only take a couple of days to make at the most, and I know I could probably do that… but I just don’t have the time.

Right now at school we’re doing our final exams. These things are basically what will either lead me to having a successful future or a job at a fast food joint. I have 18 exams to do, and so far we’ve only finished 2 of them. I’ll be busy doing these exams until the end of June.

Now, this isn’t uncommon, everybody has to do final exams at some point in their lives, I expected these to happen. However, the government in the UK (where I currently reside) has just introduced a whole new final exam (or ‘GCSE’) system. We’re basically like lab rats being experimented on with this new system. We’re the first year group to try them, and for all we know this system could have tons of flaws in them, which is jeopardizing our futures. If this system turns out to be a total flop what happens to us? The government would probably just revert back to the old system for next year and forget about us completely, leaving us with our grades from the FAILED system. How the hell is that even fair? To prove my point further, people who were once expected to do extremely well are now doing the Foundation or “lower” papers just so they have a chance of getting a C. Was that the point of this new system? To make us believe that we’re all dumb and not able to achieve higher grades, when really it’s just because of the suddenly higher fucking standards these people have? Because if that’s the point, it’s fucking working, I’ll tell you that. Everyone in my school feels like pure shit.

This new system has literally made the final exams so much harder. Stuff that we would only START to learn about next year are already in this thing and we are expected to memorize it all. For English in particular, we need to study 2 novels, 1 play, and 15 poems, and know everything about them BY MEMORY. We don’t get to have any of these novels or poems or the play with us in the exam, we just have to REMEMBER THEM ALL. What?! That is literally impossible. I’m not whining because I’m a lazy kid, that’s PHYSICALLY impossible to remember all of that. To top it all off, I’m expected to memorize all 15 of the poems when only 1 or 2 of them will actually turn up in the exam. What an absolute waste of time! That’s not how it works in the real world. You would never get a job which made your tasks extremely vague - you would be told exactly what you had to do so you could produce a HIGH QUALITY piece of work for your company or workplace. So when we complain about these new exams and you say “oh well, tough shit, that’s not how the world works”, then I’m going to assume that you’re a fucking idiot without a real grasp of how the world actually works. Being older doesn’t make you a genius, in fact it’s probably the complete opposite with most of these people.

So if you’ve ever wondered why Update 13 is taking so long, or you were about to type a comment threatening me to release it or else, just remember that I have to deal with this train-wreck of an exam system.

I hope to have Update 13 out by the middle of July.
