✦ Hi, I’m Babs! Indie game developer, Diet Coke-powered programmer, and shower singer.

✦ I’m a girlie šŸ’… in game dev with over 5 years of industry experience. I spend most of my time making games work (or break, depending on the day). My thing is gameplay programming: building mechanics, fixing bugs I definitely caused, and pretending I understand math.

✦ I also mess around with 3D modeling and illustration when I’m not too busy arguing with my compiler.

✦ If you like what I do (or wanna fuel my coding sessions with Diet Coke and snacks), you can support me on my Ko-Fi!

✦ Thanks for reading! Your debugger loves you šŸ’–

Never before in my life did I think I would see this message. Damn, I didn't even know it existed.
And this is a 2TB SSD we're talking about.
I'm so screwed.

What game dev achievement are you most proud of? #Devruary

My biggest flex is the fact that I went from being TERRIBLE at logic to someone who can architect game code and see projects through to completion. You know, evolving like a shiny pokemon.

What does success look like for your current project? #Devruary

Success is the friends we made along the way.

What scares you most about releasing a game? #Devruary
Nobody caring, or everyone caring for the WRONG reasons (like a catastrophic bug I somehow missed).

Imagine releasing your game and the only feedback is "unplayable, softlocked in level 2."

What kind of feedback helps you most? #Devruary
Watching people actually play my games.

It's NERVE-WRACKING, but you'll spot issues you'd NEVER catch on your own, like confusing UI, unclear objectives or inputs, and mechanics nobody understands.
