Working on file formats, which seem to compress quite nicely! I've also got some great animations in from the artist. I'm currently working on the dual tile rendering engine, which will be used in the title as well as the game.
Finally figured out a weird off-screen rendering bug on Windows. Apparently SDL2 invalidates offscreen surfaces on windows resize. I think I'll be creating a DX12 specific implementation for windows builds.
The effect itself isn't done, but at least the proof of a 'dual worlds' rendering process is vetted out!
