i am very very tempted to just post a demo with unfinished character sprites because i have a lot of things done that i can't show normally because it's all just work in progress

here's how the pause menu looks so far. it has three different variants of background that appears when you pause. it also includes info of what part of the game you are currently in. so far only the save and quit buttons work though

i've done a lot for the game, so i might as well just post it all. here's some of the scenes from the prologue. the storyline is finished, but i'm missing sprites and CGs. sprite work is definitely going to be the biggest challenge

so generally i don't know how to do stuff like this but here's how the menu for the game looks so far. it's still not fully finished but it's what it could look like when the game is finished. besides the sketches, the menu is mostly functional
