Luke Archbell (head developer for Yippee Ki Yay) is an 1st year Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. He is an amatuer game designer, with a focus on programming. He stumbled upon gamejolt when looking for a website to host his game, Homage, for the Unity 4 DirectX11 Contest. Then he fell in love. Luke enjoys classic adventure games, such as the LoZ series, Banjo Kazooie, and the 3D mario games (most especially Super Mario Sunshine, as it is his favorite game. So smooth!). Luke also enjoys clever and innovative puzzlers, and thinks he might have a good idea for one.

Luke's favorite things to look for in a game are smooth, clean game design, clever and innovative ideas, and completeness. Sadly, his game Homage does not fully satisfy these criteria, but he will continue to work on it until it does.

Currently, Luke is working on a classic 3D platformer/adventure game, which has to take a backseat to calculus. The working title of the game, Yippee Ki Yay, insipres his user name and Dev team name. Also in the works is a 3D adventure/platformer/puzzle game. Luke has no idea how to describe the game except Portal meets Legend of Zelda, and he isn't sure himself what that even means.

When not gaming, or making games, Luke enjoys playing music, listening to music, skiing, writing profile descriptions in the third person, ultimate frisbee, reading webcomics about mad science, and sleeping. His current goals are to learn to play most musical instruments, build a working demo for his puzzle game (The one that he can't describe but knows what he wants to do with it), and get a full night's sleep. None of these goals are foreseeable in the near future.
