Good game, the DX11 graphics really shine through.

One suggestion I may (I understand the DX11 contest is over, so maybe just keep in mind for future projects): I saw that you put effort in the deaths of enemy ships; when hit, it animates into the ground before erupting with particle fx and a great bass-ey explosion. Would like to see feedback as I'm doing damage to the enemy ships while they're still approaching. The boss battle comes to mind, I wasn't sure if I was hitting him, or if there might be a weakpoint I should be targeting.

Oh, and stop being apologetic abt the starfox reference - life goes as: New Innovative Game Concept --> Clones Spring Out From The Ground --> A Genre Is Born. Your're just working in the genre, no problem with that.

the wave should stay in screen when it moves. Great 3d models, really good ones, but the animations and "action feeling" its not that great
