I write old school type games for the fun of it. All of my game's source code can also be requested from me for free. I'm a computer science teacher for a technical high school in Ohio and use the games I write in my programming classes to teach introductory game design.
I prefer to code my games in QB64, a modern version of QuickBasic that can be used to create software for both Windows and Linux operating systems. It supports 32 and 64 bit systems as well. If you have ever wanted to learn programming but thought it might be too hard then QB64 is what you have been waiting for. Head over to the web site at http://www.qb64.net and download it. Join the community forum and say hello. You will find plenty of friendly, knowledgable users there willing to help you get started.
