QB64 Asteroids!

The classic Asteroids by Atari is back! I wrote this version to be as close to the original as possible. You'll swear you're playing on an old coin-op version from the past. Just like the original you get extra ships every 10,000 points and the little saucers are demons in disguise. Game play instructions are displayed after you enter a coin.

Game Controls: RIGHT/LEFT arrow keys to turn, UP arrow key to thrust, DOWN arrow key to hyperspace and SPACEBAR to fire.

This game has been released as freeware, meaning that you can hand out copies of the game to whoever you like. If you look in the game's folder you'll also find the entire source code needed to recompile the game on a Mac or a Linux machine. Simply go to www.qb64.net, download the language, open the source code in the editor and run. You now have an Apple Mac or Linux version!
