A diner owner, Smitherd, provides comfort and a job to Lunis in a town with rumors of a supernatural entity taking people at night who dare enter the woods. As Lunis walks home from work, he hears a bloodcurdling scream and follows a familiar path, calling out for the person. He finds an old burned-up home surrounded by tall trees in a circle-like shape, with a car parked nearby still on.
