Game Soundtrack
You are a commander of an exploration bot in search of an unknown storage facility somewhere in the galaxy. Firstly you will need to resolve some simple maintenance quests and later on a quest will be puzzle-like and the game will have RPG elements. My goal is to make a non-violent game.
The game will start with a game menu (start, option and quit), an option will have true/false buttons for music and animation. The background of the menu can be animated, and the buttons of the menu can also have some simple animation elements. After the game menu game will have intro animation.

Hero in a game will be in a top-down view and can be moved only by mouse clicks. Also, I plan to create a quest system for a hero.

Design and coding: by myself in a beginning
Pick a game engine and design software for game props is not resolved yet. Any suggestions about the game engine? What graphics software is good for this type of game design? I am looking for free software (pc platform)?
