What do you think?

Wow, this is actually a really fun game! I was surprised when I saw that I could build stuff on top of stuff on top of stuff, which is really cool and adds lots of possibilities. Though there's only one gamemode, I can see how lots of strategies could be implemented to win. I do have two suggestions, though. There should be a rotation feature so the player can see the other side of structures to build onto, such as to build cannons in the front of turrets. (If there is a rotation feature, and I missed it, sorry, and please tell me how to use it.) Also, a multiplayer mode would be very cool to play with human players. Also, more maps would be great. Maybe even 3+ player maps. That would be cool. Either way, great game! Five stars, for sure.

Heya! awesome game! the unit customization is pretty simple but more complex than it initially looks and it lends a lot to the feel of progression. however, I ran into a bit of (what seems to be) a game braking bug, on my first play vs easy ai the opposing core dropped to 5 health and then began regenerating while taking no damage, I assume the regeneration is a normal feature but it seemed a bit odd when dozens of my units were all concentrating fire on it alone and it just wouldn't take damage. made the stage unwinnable.

ByteCraft is a cyberpunk tug of war strategy game where the core gameplay consists of designing your own units and balancing your resources. ByteCraft was a finalist in LiU Game Awards 2013.

How to play

  • We recomend trying singleplayer and easy AI first.

  • Click on a building place (yellow marker) to select it. You can spend resources to constuct a building or module on it.

  • You do not have direct control over your units, they will automatically attack the enemy base.

  • Build factories to spawn more units.

  • Build modules on your factories to upgrade your units.

  • Some modules can be expanded on with more modules.

Keybinds
