The Town of Calliope is a 3D, free to play, MMO, life simulator for PC. You start off as a post high school kid still living with your parents. Where you go from there is completely up to you. Get a job, start your own company, buy, sell, and modify houses, factories, shops, land and vehicles.
Jobs in Calliope
Calliope is full of job opportunities, everything from driving a tow truck to developing your own HOA (home Owners Association – buy land, build a neighborhood, sell the houses, charge a recurring free, maintain the neighborhood). Get hired or start your own company, hire employees, provide good customer service, build an empire!
Food Jobs
New players looking to improve their situation can seek employment as a worker at any of the below jobs. While veteran players can own, operate and hire employees.
Farmer: Farmer can choose to grow trees, vegetables or livestock.
Butcher: Butchers buy fresh meat from farmers, then they butcher the meat and sell it to other businesses.
Fisher: Fish on the docks or buy a boat, then sell your catch to a local grocery store.
Baker: Bakers bake cakes, pies and other desserts and sells them to donut shops and grocery stores.
Grocer: Grocers buy vegetables from farms, baked goods from bakeries and meats from butchers, then they sell them to local restaurants and citizens (NPC and Player).
Donut Shop: Buys baked goods from bakeries and creates fresh donuts on site to sell to the citizens of Calliope (NPC and Player).
Pizza Parlor – Buy your ingredients from a local grocery store and the butcher, then create, serve and deliver pizza to both NPCs and players.
Burger Joint – Just like the pizza parlor except with burgers.

Entertainment Jobs
Tree Farmer: Grows the wood used to make toys, instruments, arcade games and more.
Shipwright: Shipwrights buy wood from farmers that they manufacture into boats that they sell to the citizens of Calliope (NPC and PC).
Gadget Maker– Creates all of the non-food items that are sold in the shops of Calliope.
Toy Store, Music Store: Buy items from Wood and Electronics and then resales them to the public. Go on quests to fill special orders.
Arcade: Owners of Arcades purchase arcade games from Wood and Electronics and allows citizens of Calliope to play them, for a price.

Clothing Jobs
Cotton Farmer – Grows cotton for fabric makers.
Fabric Maker – Buys cotton from farmers and creates fabric for tailors.
Tailors – Buys fabric from fabric makers and creates clothing for clothing stores.
Clothing Shop – Buys clothing from tailors and then resales the clothing to the citizens of Calliope (Both NPC and PC).

Driving Jobs
Most (with the exception of police, sheriff and fire) driving jobs have low overhead and can be owned much earlier in a players career than other jobs.

Odd Stuff – Go on quests to find items for your customers.
Megastore – Make deals with every type of factory and farm in a vain attempt to keep your massive shelf space stocked.
Ice-cream Parlor – Make and sell ice-cream.
Food Trucks – Find a good location and sell your food.
Pet Store – Buy animals from farmers, resale to citizens of Calliope.
Reporter – find and report what is going on in Calliope.
Jailer – work at either the county prison or the city jail.
Land Developer – Buy land, make new neighborhoods.
Run for Office
Each office can only be held by one Player Character. Players must meet the minimum requirements for that position, then they must compete with other players to obtain and to remain in that office.
Sheriff – enforce laws and control the prison out in the country
Police Chief – enforce laws and control the jail in town.
Fire Chief – Enforce fire laws, issue permits and come up with plans to protect Calliope.
City Council – help pass laws.
Mayor – run the city to the best of your ability.
Social Outings
(Hang out with your friends (NPC or PC), have fun, and get rewarded.)
Off Road Track – Rent a big truck (or bring your own) and try your best on the obstacle course.
Church Social – Meet new people get to know people you already knew.
Car Show – Check out the best rides in town, rub elbows with street racers.
Illegal Street Race – Take your best car and see how many people you can beat.
Eat Out – Burgers, Ice-cream, Pizza etc.
Camping, Hiking and Exploring.
Boating – Rent a boat or take your own and boat around or go fishing.

Corporations – Start or join a Corporation and work with other players to control Calliope.
Crafting – Craft items needed by your business and the businesses of others.
