My feedback review:
A very strange but terrifying experience for begining to end! Nice touch incorporating MY NAME into it. I know you got it from my pc somehow but I'm not clear as to how. Very scarey.
Graphics 10/10
Perfect execution! I was drawn in immediately. Everything looked realistic enough to be from a nightmare. I was surprised when my name came up at the start and throughout the game.
Soundscape 10/10
Before playing this game I never thought it a horror game couldn't be scarey without music. You have changed my mind! The sounscape was perfect for this game and didn't need any music to capture the atmoshpere you created just with sound effects.
Gameplay 5/10
This was a weak point for the game. The game didn't have a title screen and just jumped straight into it from launch. I'm not a fan of immediately starting from the point I launch the game, just my preference. The initial direction was also unclear. I eventually found a door to interact with after wandering around for a while. When I tried to open the door it asked for a code. I guessed it was my name since that was presented to me at the start, in a jump scare. After I entered the code I got a jumpscare making me believe I failed, even though I was just taken to another map. The brick maze was confusing. I ended up walking back to the start without relaizing I had turned around. The game ended shortly after finding a path through the maze. I have no ideaif that was the ending of the game or if I had failed. My other issue other then the lack of any hints for progression and/or failure was the lack of an indicator for stamina. I know this game uses a stamina gauage system for running because I quickly discovered I could only run for a couple seconds before having to wait a minute or two to be able to run again. I know a gauage may be seen as breaking the immersion but it would make it easier for a player to gauge how often they can run so they won't be stuck walking when they need to run.
Overall 5/10
While the soundscape and graphics were appealing and set the mood for this horror game well, the Gameplay aspect hurt it alot and I feel if it was improved this would be a better experience.
Ideas for Improvement:
Add some clues as to where the player is suppose to go so they don't end up wandering around the first map.
Give some clues or more landmarks in the second map so the player doesn't end up going in a circle while in the maze.
I am certain the game did not end and I had failed the second map. The game should restart to the last map you were on instead of closing, potentially giving the player the false idea that they beat the game when they actually failed.
Come up with a graphic for a staminia gauge that wouldn't break the immersion and help the player plan how often they can run so when they need to run they are not stuck walking.
Please remember these are only suggestions and my review was only subjective. I did enjoy playing your game regardless of the issues I found with it. Great Job.
Creepy game dev had so much fun playing it and nice idea i didn't play a game like that for a long time but it's too short , i hope you enjoy my gameplay :Dā https://youtu.be/rs8BL1QVFfE
