I played through the game and it was entertaining enough but has some problems. The other comment already mentioned most of them but I have a few. It's mostly just polish stuff. Like in the switch section, the character teleports to the side of the switch upon activating it, for some reason. It also would be cool if there was some sound effect of the walls being opened. Maybe an animation though I don't know how hard it would be. Some of the npcs are weird. One of the shopkeepers stares off to the side. What is he looking at? And of course there's balancing issues like the weaker weapons being overpriced. Or the purple balls giving less gold than the weaker balls. But that just comes with playtesting and bug fixing. Good luck on the project.
just played through the beta and i have to say that, while it's pretty rough on the edges it has a lot of good things going on! the premise is simple enough but serves as a great base for future developments, Dino's sure to get into some wacky hijinks on his search for a friend; the pixel graphics look minimalistic but consistent and nice, def got a style going for them; the vector graphics look really good, i especially love the enemy battlers and Dino's portrait, and that one moment when Dino needs to rest before going forward again was a nice touch of realism that you don't see that often in games - our characters aren't demigods that can run for 12 hours non-stop, they need to catch a break once in a while, too!)
now for the rough parts, and there's quite a bit of them, as expected of a beta - i'll list them off now and i hope you patch them out in the next versions: firstly, the biggest problem with the game is probably the way that some dialogues are cut off by window limitations - i suggest you play the version back-to-back and split the lines of dialogue between the first and the second line to fit the entire message on in one dialogue command) it's especially prevalent in the earlier portions of the game. next, the wooden sign that is supposed to play the credits doesn't play anything at the moment. then, i'm pretty sure that Lighti's quest with recovering spilled money is bugged - i found his gold but when interacting with it Dino just says 'Gold..." and doesn't pick it up to return to Lighti, and going back to the latter after interacting with gold doesn't hand in his quest - like, come on, Dino could've at least told Lighti where the lost money is!) next, you can walk on the party hats (or whatever those multi-colored cones are) in the shop, despite them hanging on the walls. better tweak their tileset!) the "field with difficult opponents" is pretty much useless since you get more money by just beating the same old blue and yellow balls while you get less for fighting the purple ones and also get beaten up HARD while farming them. plus, fighting a yellow/blue ball restores your HP to full after the fight, while fighting a purple one doesn't. next, in the first map with the blue/yellow balls there's some weird invisible tiles near the road that takes you to the map with two shops. and, finally, the toy gun costs less than the old shovel and iron axe but is better than them by all means, damage and magic attack included! feels unbalanced, if you ask me. would be better to lower the price for the old shovel 'n axe or make them worth their cost... or just nerf the gun) lol.
all in all, the demo left a positive impression on me - despite the various bugs and disbalanced parts the game has a lot of soul and is fun - and that's what important in a game!) still though, polishing it up by fixing the aforementioned problems would be great - quality and assurance galore) good luck with continuing the development, Budyn, and take care!
Go with Dino on a search for his friend! Along the way, interesting things will occur... Sometimes there will be slight obstacles... Will you be able to find your friend? Will you choose the right decision?
A game of the genre of "RPG" with simple graphics that are comfortable for the eye. The story of the game is interesting, surprising and of course... there are many endings.
