FredBear’s RETRO is a retro-style horror fangame that takes place in a forgotten family diner from the past.
You play as a night security guard recently hired to watch over Fredbear’s & Friends Family Diner, a place that hides more than it shows. After the death of the owner’s child, Evan Afton, the restaurant was never the same. Staff goes missing, the atmosphere changed, and strange incidents began to occur during the night.
Now, as you work the late shifts, you start noticing unsettling details:
animatronics moving when they shouldn’t, cameras cutting out, systems malfunctioning, and eerie noises coming from empty rooms. Something is clearly wrong, and the building feels… alive.
Your goal is simple: survive the night.
But as the hours pass, fragments of the diner’s dark past slowly emerge, revealing a tragedy that still haunts the place.
FredBear’s RETRO focuses on:
A retro, old-school horror style
Tension-based gameplay with limited resources
Unstable systems and unpredictable animatronics
A mysterious story told through atmosphere and details
Made with Clickteam Fusion 2.5, this fangame aims to recreate the unsettling feeling of classic horror games, where survival depends on attention, patience, and fear.
*GAMEPLAY*
FredBear’s RETRO features gameplay inspired by Five Nights at Freddy’s, while introducing original mechanics and a unique atmosphere.
You take the role of a night guard, monitoring the diner through security cameras and limited systems, where survival depends on attention, timing, and nerves.
After every completed night, you will enter a special post-night segment called “Parts and Service”.
Here, you must repair an animatronic while avoiding a hostile endoskeleton that roams the room, ready to kill you if you make a mistake.
This sequence is inspired by Forgotten At Fredbear and adds a new layer of tension between nights.
During each night, you will also receive phone calls from an unknown number.
The voice on the other end knows things you shouldn’t know… and slowly begins to reveal the true story behind the diner, uncovering secrets that were never meant to surface.
With classic survival gameplay, post-night horror segments, and a story told through disturbing phone calls, FredBear’s RETRO delivers a nostalgic yet unsettling experience.
