What do you think?

just played through the beta and i have to say that it's pretty good! a well-drawn modern tale of a life inside of an oppressive regime that presents the player with a variety of choices, which, in turn, gives way to replayability and a lot of fun in the gameplay!) all of the sprites in the game look great - they're minimalistic, but suit the game's theme and generally look great) the grammar is also on-point (except that one part in the intro where it says "wisley" when it should be "wisely"...) and the game performs very well - i haven't found a single bug while playing it!) the beta also has some neat details to it that unravel themselves if you choose to go out of your usual way and return to some locations - like the Y (or V?) sign on the poster or the bunch of mechanical stuff that you can take - i'm sure it will come in handy later - details like this make the game feel more alive and immersive!)

all in all, this was a great experience - Vael, you did a good job with the beta, and i wish you best of luck, nerves of steel and lots of inspiration if you intend to continue developing and in your future endeavors!) take care!

is pietra a guy or a gal

You are Pietra, a 23 year old that lives in Utrial, one of the most oppressive countries on earth. Pietra is in precinct 13, one of the more "loose" precincts, where laws are less impressed than in most others. Along your journey you will meet many factions and interesting people. Your choices will matter here, and each one you make may make an impact to Utrial, but maybe they won't either. Maybe you will become another cog in the machine of Utrial's political system, or maybe you will become a rebel, fighting for what you think is right. Or maybe you will just be another corpse for the rats to eat.

The game is in beta, and will be for quite awhile, considering making this game is not my only priority at the moment. But I will make steady progress as time goes on, hopefully releasing an increasing amount of demos as well.

I am also working on music for battles and ambience, since the ones that come with RPG Maker MV aren't all that great and don't fit the feel I'm going for. Consider that I have no prior music skills, so the music will be bad, or take forever to come out, or both.

Also please leave feedback! The only way this game is going to get better is if others recommend me ideas, or let me in on bugs in beta builds.

Documentation of versions:

0.3.1 - New area, enemy, and slight plot progression.

0.3.0 - New music for battles and new tutorial. Also some environments have been updated and the screens resolution has been improved!

0.2.3 - Changed a few sprites, and added a few things.

0.2.2 - Few minor additions, and fixed a misplaced starting position

0.2.1 - Minor bug fixes.

0.2.0 - More story progress, and a new combat system explained below.

Weapons are now sorted into categories:

Short Blade - Knife's mostly

Short Blunt - Things like police batons and wrench's.

Long Blade - Machetes and swords

Long Blunt - Baseball bats ands pipes

You cannot use these weapons to their fullest potential unless you, or someone else, has proper training or experience with them. Future weapons like guns are planned.

0.1.1 - Minor bug fixes, better dialogue, and new area added.

0.1.0 - First released build.
