A Mega Man-esque 8-bit sidescroller with a kick-ass soundtrack and loads of shoutouts and references to retro game and nerd culture. A video game wizard named "Matt" has been sucked into a mysterious new arcade game and only you can help him escape. Battle your way through 6 challenging and unique levels of gameplay filled with wacky and surreal enemies as you rush to defeat the sinister "Big Billy", the master programmer who created the very game world you've been trapped in. Make sure to jump up to find hidden blocks and look for secret passages in the walls, too, as the most valuable items (such as extra lives and continues) are often hidden out of reach. Try and remember every classic video game trope, because hidden blocks, oxygen bubbles, and maze-like castles where you must pick the right path all await you on your journey--and much more!!!

Kill Screen Package now includes a special "arcade" version of the game alongside the original, which can be put in an arcade cabinet and set up publicly to help promote the game. Features authentic coin counter and virtual DIP switch configurations.

Just a teaser, there's a Kill Screen II in the works. Busy with school at the moment but it's coming together slowly, so keep your eyes peeled.

Kill Screen V.1.2.5-- limited when the game can be paused; the game can only be put on hold during active gameplay. This was done so as to avoid making screens like the title screen, ending, cinematics, and startup sequences pause-able.

Kill Screen v.1.2.4--Made it so that each time the game loops, the min. amount of power lost when you take damage increases. For reference:

1st loop-- lose 1hp

2nd loop-- lose 2hp

3rd loop-- lose 3hp

4th loop-- lose 4hp

5th loop and onward-- one-hit K.O.

Kill Screen V. 1.2.3-fixed an error on the name-entry screen where the "RB" (backspace) icon would appear as part of the name you entered if you took too long. Now leaving the high score screen idle for too long just auto-enters "AAAAAAAAAA" as your name.
