Krisspyrune: Legend of the 7 donuts (Deltarune Repaint)

Krisspyrune is a neo-repaint of Deltarune chapter 1 by Toby Fox. Despite having the same framework, it is an entirely new story, with crazy new worlds, and new characters based off people in Krisspy Cream's discord server. Play as Krisspy, a more joyful bastardization of Kris as she and her gang travel through worlds made up of people's minds.

It is not required to have played Deltarune before playing this mod, as every mechanic is explained to you, but it is highly recommended, however, considering an entire character revolves around their memories of Deltarune.

There is copyrighted music in this mod aaaaa!!!

Krisspyrune has quite a bit of copyrighted music. None of the songs should get you taken down, but stream VODS will most likely be demonetized. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but in my eyes, Krisspyrune's music choices is something that gives it more of an identity.

While nothing here should be too prominent or shocking, I want people to know what they're getting into.

This mod contains light themes of abuse, and suicide. There is a homophobic, transphobic, and overall, morally terrible character in the mod. There is also a character with intentional crass and lowbrow humor. (Both characters are intentionally made that way and make the story better in my eyes. I hope you understand.)

What does this mod change?

Mainly sprites, dialogue, and music. There will be occasional gameplay differences, such as overworld layout, enemy damage, and money gained from encounters, but those are few and far between.

How do I play this mod?

Simply download the game, extract the zip File and the exe Is already there! No patching required!

Do I need to be a part of Krisspy Cream's community to understand this mod?

No. While there are many references to Krisspy Cream, I intentionally made it as accessible as possible (Except for a couple speedrun references which I know some people aren't interested in).

Can I play this mod on console?

Most likely not. If there is a way to make this mod work on console, I do not know what that way is and any ports to console are unofficial.

Will Krisspyrune be translated to other languages?

Most likely not. Unofficial translations are welcome, however!

If I find a bug, will you fix it?

Who tf are all these characters???

Most main characters are people from Krisspy Cream's discord server. The characters in this mod are parodies and caricatures of the real people. Nothing the characters say, do, or look like are accurate to the real-life people.

Did you know that Kris' pronounces are they/them. not she/her?

I do! Kris (Deltarune) and Krisspy (Krisspyrune) are two entirely different characters, with different designs, character arcs, and personality. Furthermore, Krisspy Cream is an actual person who is female, and it'd be disrespectful to make her any other gender in the mod MADE FOR HER.

Why did you spend the past four (4) months of your life working on a stupid, meme, shitpost mod?

Kisspyrune started as a stupid mod made just to see what I could do with Undertale Mod Tool. It had barley any changes, no coherent story, and was frankly miserable to play. Despite this, people praised me for making such a "Cool mod" for a "small youtuber" but as the days went by, the more I started realizing how bad that original mod was, and how I wasn't actually proud of myself. I started working on a revamp to Chapter 1 before moving on to chapter 2, but eventually I started losing motivation, thinking that all this effort was going to waste since it's just a joke mod for someone that's only going to play it once. until one day, I played Partially Realio: Bittersweet 16, a Super Paper Mario mod. That mod changed the way I looked at Krisspyrune. For a while, I thought I was just making a joke mod that people would laugh at once and throw away the next day, but when I played Realio, I realized that just cause I'm making a piece of art that can make you laugh, doesn't mean I can't put anything serious in said art. Krisspyrune started morphing from a shitpost full of references nobody outside the Krisspy Cream discord server would ever understand to a genuine story that (I hope) can cheer somebody up when they're feeling down. So, to answer your question: I spent the past four (4) months of my life on this mod because I want to make something that is undoubtably myself and i can be proud of but can also make somebody else happy (Two things the original Krisspyrune didn't do).

(Sorry if I sounded all over the place in that sad backstory of a paragraph.)

Will you finish the rest of the chapters?

I intend to. Chapter 2 and 3 are in the hands of other members of Krisspy's discord, but when those chapters are finished, I will be the lead dev of chapter 4.
