The main concept and mechanics of your game seem really interesting. I recommend you to focus mostly on polishing and refining your core mechanics as it will most likely be the main attraction to your game. A good story would be great too but it is secondary. Nice sprites👍

I really like your concept art and idea behind the game and it's mechanics. I look forward to see where you take this story that you have created. I would recommend adding enemies that have different types of projectiles that act in different ways (if you haven't thought of that already). Perhaps this can help with making puzzles if just exploring and killing enemies gets too repetitive or boring. Overall great idea and concept so far. I look forward to seeing your future updates.

Lucerna and the Land Of Merinthia

Welcome to the Land of Merinthia. Once, a flourishing and peaceful kingdom now turned to ruins by the dreadful Demon King and his army.

Venture into the unknown with Lucerna, your trusty companion who is a lamp that can absorb and reflect enemy attacks.

Your goal is to find and seal away the Demon King once and for all but there will be many obstacles in your way that may influence your decisions.

Tread carefully young hero!

Game Features

"Lucerna" is a TopDown 2D shooter in which the player carries a lamp that can absorb and reflect magic. Use the enemy's own spells against them!

You play as a mage who has lost his powers after a fight with the Demon King, but you are visited by the lamp Lucerna and granted it's power.

Will you use it's power and rid of the Demon King once and for all? Or will there be other outcomes as the game features multiple endings based on your decisions.

We are currently working on and perfecting our absorb mechanic that will be the main feature of our game. So far, the player is able to absorb two kinds of bullets.
