What do you think?

I like the idea: a magician robot - it's super cool - and the game definitely looks pretty promising. Altough the reloading music and the respawning enemies are really annoying. By the way I stuck after I've found the wall breaking spell. It seems in every way I need a double jump to progress - or something like that. Am I missing something?

The jam version is short and have less content than I've planned

This is my entry for DreamHack Summer Jam 2019 whose theme : Magic vs Science. The game is metroidvania inspired by Super Metroid, Contra, Lyle in Cube Sector and Castlevania .

Story:

You are a robo magi, robot who have learned magic. Great as it sounds, other robots don't like you and you must escape. Explore the base to find orbs which grants new spell to access more areas. Beware! it won't be easy!
Run n gun your way to your freedom!

Information:

Jam version is the original version of DreamHack Summer Jam 2019. Post Jam version 1 is the updated version with more features and released for DreamHack Jungle Jam 2020

Mild Cartoon Violence

If Magito has fire spells, Dukuro has ice spells. 1st image shows fast ice lance spell while 2nd image shows ice mine which damages enemies. 3rd image shows next level of shooting power I've added.

Adding better save system

Since this game is going to be longer, I decided to copy save system from Cherry On Top and shot 1 shows saving message. Shot 2 and shot 3 are showing new WIP level.

I've changed content of a level to allow both Dukuro and Magito to pass and it requires magic shield. Also I've made another level which focuses on enemies number. Nice variation it gives!

Magito and Dukuro has their own spells so I made unique instructions for each of them.

Testing random enemy spawner in a room. These 4 shots show 4 possible enemy sets in this room

Those blocks I've created before gave me simple idea to fill some levels with. So I filled these 2 levels with them

1: Another WIP level for Dukuro's path

2-3: Change to special block type

Constructed new levels for final areas. All levels shown in shots are WIP and might change later
