Bc1 and I have been discussing it a lot for 2dw, and I think you may want to know this too: nintendo's been banning and removing fangames on gamejolt. I don't know if they'll do it to ones on scratch, but I figured I'd give you a heads up so you can decide whether to keep this up or not. (it's just for gamejolt. not scratch)
Overview
A remake of the 2012 Nintendo platformer, "New Super Mario Bros. 2". This game is being developed in the Scratch programming language. The game will have around 24 levels, a fully featured tile-scrolling engine & editor, and full vector graphics created by me.
Storyline
Bowser has captured Princess Peach once again (pretty generic, right?) and Mario must make his way through each world to retrieve his beloved princess. The storyline may not be very engaging, but the point of this game is just pure Mario fun in a somewhat limited programming language.
Credits
All original graphics, 3D models, and designs are still property and copyrights of Nintendo.
Unfortunately, NSMB2 will likely be limited to a 4 by 3 aspect ratio due to Scratch's lack of support for 16 by 9.
Aside from that fact, great progress is being made to the tile editor and gameplay!
