boy i sure hope a certain company doesn't pull the plug on this project as soon as it releases
Damn, This looks like a really well made project, But how many fighters?
one question: sans? *plays megalovania* all joking aside im looking forward to this
look great!
The battle is coming to a Windows PC near you in the future! A Wix Website is also in the works! But that will be available after I launch a first trailer.
Super Smash Bros. Feud is my most ambitious project ever. It's a fully-3D Super Smash Bros. fan game that aims to replicate as much from the original games as possible. As mentioned, it's fully 3D, meaning no sprite-based gameplay!
Super Smash Bros. Feud is currently in very early development, and will release in incremental builds that will each add more fighters and content as time goes by. The first build, when it releases, will have 12 fighters and 4 stages, and will get more and more content as time passes. There will eventually be a cap on fighters and stages I am willing to put in, and my roster is almost set in stone.
This game will eventually feature a very large fighter and stage roster, a massive soundtrack featuring over 1,000 songs including returning tracks, new remixes and original music! Eventually, I plan to upload music samples from the game, with the exception of returning or original music found in official Super Smash Bros. games. So only original music and new remixes.
Super Smash Bros. Feud will be presented in high-definition 1920x1080 resolution, so it's a good idea to have a widescreen monitor to play comfortably.
Almost everything is done or re-created pretty much from scratch, including shaders, menus, UI, etc. The graphic style and gameplay, for a close approximation, will closely emulate that of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
I cannot yet comment on the vast majority of the content. Right now I'm currently working on making the game as playable as possible, while maintaining the highest standard of quality I can possibly attain in the gameplay.
Thanks to the fabulous Unity Input System package, I have every intention of trying to feature the return of 8-player Smash, with the game supporting all dual-stick gamepads/controllers, ditching the old XInput API I was using, which should lift the Windows-only restriction.
Right now the game's a little early in development, with some menus and the title screen done, two or three fighters partially playable, and a test stage.
Alpha screenshots coming very soon! Since Super Smash Bros. Feud is still in early development, anything you see in them is still subject to change.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q - How many fighters do you expect to have?
A - Many. I'm anticipating many, many fighters. More than in Ultimate. They'll be revealed individually and released in waves alongside the incremental builds.
Q - Will there be new challengers / fighters?
A - Absolutely yes~! Expect newcomers. I also think I have a few surprises you didn't see coming ;)
Q - Will this work on "X system"?
A - It should, because Unity's new Input System recognizes all generic dual-stick gamepads for PC, and I'm aiming to have 8-player local Smash.
Q - Who's returning from Ultimate and previous Smash games? Any cuts?
A - Stay tuned for more info on the roster. So far only the fighters listed above are confirmed.
Q - Is *insert character here* gonna be in Super Smash Bros. Feud?
A - Most of my roster's already decided on and set in stone. I don't want to reveal everything too soon, I don't want to make promises I end up not being able to keep. I want to keep you guessing in the meantime as well, as I develop the game! It'll be difficult to consider requests, but I think you can expect some surprises...
