The REAL red string solution:

1. Launch a modded version of td2d.

2. While being in the main menu, open "game" folder and take out a "data.win" file (do NOT delete it).

3. Then copy the same file from the original td2d and paste it to the modded version.

Congrats! You can now enjoy your mod on public servers!

4. After you done playing, return the modded file back to it's place, so you can properly launch the game next time.

*You need to do this every time you want to play a modded version of td2d.
