Hey there, just played through this thing and I have some thoughts about it. I wasn't sure what to expect when reading the description. It looked like a creepypasta parody at a glance, but I found that this game was a mix of humor and serious. Although I can't say I enjoyed the finale, I thought that everything before was interesting enough. Worth a playthrough for sure! The game starts off in a cliched way. The character gets sent a haunted game, they play the game and "scary" things start happening, but it's played mostly for laughs due to the nature of the events and dialogue being poorly written. I honestly thought this was some type of troll game at first but the second half when you get sucked into the game is a lot more polished! The graphics and character designs for this part were very well done, and maybe it's just me, but the atmosphere of the cute part actually felt off putting despite some of the bugs. The bugs almost added to the strange off-putting feeling of this game we just booted up. I also liked the contrast between the realistic, if default looking, aesthetic of the real world verses the cutesy and colorful video game world. I am curious why that aesthetic wasn't used again during the finale, unless it was meant to be representative of the video game world possessing or breaking into reality or something... Anyway, second act is where it becomes more possible to take the story serious, and also were some of my complaints start. If our protagonist just got sucked into a clearly haunted game, why is he so calm? Shouldn't he be scared? Or at least actively trying to figure out how to escape the game? Even during creepy or weird moments, like seeming the Perfect Pals game on the ds, the guy doesn't say a word or react in anyway. Perhaps that was intention, an homage to all the unrealistic reactions of the creepypasta protagonist in poorly written works that are much beneath this game's quality. But even then, the game doesn't really ease you into any of the serious parts imo. It starts with silliness before suddenly dropping the act and wanting to be darker adventure. It didn't make sense to me. Continuing with the second act, this part of the game had some mini games. Simple but fun, feels like something you'd see in a ds game. I found a bug with the library: after completing it, the text box for the mini game keeps showing up after every map transfer. Also found another bug where a house just straight up disappeared:
So I played your game and I have some opinions about it, the beginning was alright, I think you just need to edit the descriptions of objects around you cuz I thought initially that this was a joke game because of how bad the grammar was but when the main character got into the game everything seems a lot more polished, also you can put events on top of objects go to priority and pick same as character I noticed that all the events were blow the player so yeah, I liked the story but my game crashed when the main character woke up but besides from the little things your game was pretty good for a first original story can't wait to see more for you. :]
this game is very super scary just very fearful, terrifying, and even frightful one might say, and i am one and i do say!Â
perfect pal was a ds game, but this computre port is NOTHING like the game, play at your own risk man. its defently not  a game i just made up on rpgmaker because its 2015 (the year it very much so is currently) and wanted to capitize off of the exe format?! #rpg #rpgmaker #creepypasta #horror
