Reap (originally "Ripped The Life") is a puzzle platforming game in which you can take life and give it back to anything that moves. When something is ‘out of life’ it moves slower and vice versa. Use this mechanic to solve puzzles.

Reap features 24 levels that reward thoughtful playing, skill and patience.

This game was originally made for Ludum Dare 44 game jam (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/ripped-the-life), but due to it getting I lot of positive feedback I decided to expand the idea further.

Controls:

  • A/D or Arrows to move

  • Space/W/Up arrow to jump

  • Left click to throw spell (to take life or give life)

  • Right click to throw spell at yourself

Here are some of the more notable changes / additions I made to the final version:

  • More levels

  • Character animations

  • Color pallet

Just sit back and relax

Kinda ironic, but whatever

Arriving just on time

Basically, anything that moves can be slowed down

Here are some things I'd like to add/change for the final version of this game:
* More levels - I plan on having 20-30 of them
* Character animations
* Color pallet - this one is too serious in my opinion, I'd like to create something more playful and fun

Showcase of the game's main mechanic. You can shoot spells to take life from these folks or shoot them again to return life to them.
When they are 'out of life' they move a lot slower.
