Hi! I've played your Unicorn Buffalo Simulator like 7 years ago which drove me to madness back then. Today I spontaneously decided to get back to Gamejolt to see what's new and it's really nice to see that you kept going with the game dev stuff. This looks really good so far.

how do you play multiplayer?

After a journey from the beach to the Kings harbor, shortly after I got soaked by the rain, found my way to the Inn and warmed myself by the loving sound of the fire..

About

Be one of the first adventurers that set foot into a world that is coming back to life!

Explore lonely, vast lands full of unique places, animals, and ruins of the old world. Collect useful items, find treasures, and sell and resell goods to earn money. Buy useful tools like fishing rods, shovels, and axes to ensure your survival while travelling the lands.

Fight your way through deep swamps while the rain is pouring down on you and your fully loaded backpack. Take a break, make a campfire, or even set up a camp to regain your stamina and heal your wounds. Learn which routes are safe to take when traveling from one village to the other. Enjoy a nice meal at a tavern or sleep under the stars it is all up to you!

This game does not put you into the role of a great hero, you are not the chosen one and the world does not need to be saved. You are just a simple wanderer and you are free to do whatever you want!


The World

The game takes place within a serene world full of wildlife and nature.

A disastrous event has changed the landscape and wiped away a whole civilization. From the ruins of the old world, a new civilization begins to rise. Adventurers from all over the world set foot into an unknown world full of possibilities.

The world of rinsed is full of lush forests, deep swamps, high cliffs, and beautiful beaches. Small villages and towns are rare and often separated by a long and dangerous journey.


Gameplay and Ambitions

I always loved sandbox games and playing together with friends. But I did not like the way almost every game puts the player into the role of the big great hero. I never wanted to save Skyrim, I just wanted to hunt deers and settle down.

This is why I decided to create this project! It is supposed to be the ultimate sandbox. You start with nothing and need to find your own way in this world. Maybe you buy a fishing rod and begin to make some money by selling rare fishes. Maybe you learn how to weave cloth and begin to sell ponchos and jackets. And maybe you just want to buy and resell goods from one village to the other.

With this game, we try to keep everything as open as possible while immersing the player as much as possible.

We hope to deliver all as promised and look forward to updating you guys on this project!

We are hard at work to launch our open alpha within the coming week! Recently I overhauled the biggest town in the game and added many more NPCs and dialogues! :)

If you find a shrine, make sure to ignite some candles and meditate for a while... You (and your skills) might benefit from it ;)

Storm Flowers (on the right) only open up during thunderstorms, making their petals a rare resource!

Those petals can be used for wrapping food, keeping it fresh for long journeys!

A friend of mine just started making some music for our alpha launch trailer! He blends native American flutes with Japanese koto and it really resembles the cultures that can be found in our game :)

Finn added a system that lets our NPCs talk a few lines each time you get near them! :D

very small early sneak peak into the last (and biggest) dungeon we are currently adding into the game before public alpha testing :)

I was creating a new crab model and it turned out way to realistic looking and now it does not fit into the game... I need a coffee.

After a little break during the playtest phase, we are now back at work! We hope to finally deliver a open test version soon so stay tuned :)

Currently our friends are testing our game for the second time and im so proud of the new day/night cycle! It really adds new depth and immersion to our world :)
