GAMEPLAY WALKTHROUGH 
I finished the demo last night and now I'm waiting for the game to come out. My only complaint is how it has gotten so little attention on apps like youtube

Just saw a post about this game show up in my feed, and I gotta say I already love the visual style! It feels simultaneously minimalist and highly detailed and that's a very tricky aesthetic to pull off but I'm a huge fan of that when developers manage to pull it off!

Rose & Locket is an action-adventure journey set in the Wild West. Follow Rose as she ventures into the Underworld to free the trapped spirit of her daughter.
Cinematic moments accompanied by sprawling landscapes and intense action combat.
Enter into the Underwest and take up the once-forgotten skills of the gunslinger.
This is an early teaser demo showing work from the alpha build of Rose & Locket by Whistling Wizard. All content shown is subject to change. Mouse/Keyboard and Gamepad compatible. Optimized for 16:9 ratio resolution.
About the Game Project
This teaser demo was built a few months ago now and it shows a brief template for future work. In the full game you can expect to play a mosaic style adventure showing select moments that paint a fuller picture of Rose's journey through the Underwest. These moments will all be stylized in the cinematic tone of this teaser demo and will focus heavily on custom creative content per scene.
The Journey of Rose & Locket
Rose is on a mission to set free the spirit of Rosebud, her daughter, from a locket. This manifests in game as a series of bounties along a path laid down by a dark spirit with a hidden agenda. These bounties will be inspired by folk lore from around the world. Much like in this demo with the Japanese themes, you will experience somewhat of a world tour of the Underworld. As you travel through the Underwest, you will learn about Rose's past life, the general lore of the Underwest and upcoming bounties. All of these moments will be voice acted by the brilliant Melissa Medina, who plays both Rose and Rosebud.
Our Current Progress
We are currently building a new demo that shows more of the game. We hope to push this out to publishers and look for funding to help develop the title full time. All of this content can be followed on our Twitter and Instagram accounts. We are looking forward to the next stages of development as we are really settling into the overall design of the project now. Loading...We've begun to rebuild Rose & Locket in Unity (instead of GameMaker) and things are going well! Next time we release a demo there should be quite a few improvements since the last one :)

Some people have made comments about the difficulty of Rose & Locket, so we've added a mode that lets people focus more on the story. Also added are skippable cutscenes and improved gamepad/keyboard settings.

1Hey everyone! Just letting you know that a newer, bigger, faster, stronger demo is in the works for Rose & Locket. We have been keeping our Patreon up to date with our progress and will be releasing the new demo there first. More updates coming :)
We have just now added an alpha combat test demo to download! Keep in mind that this is still work in progress, but we would love to hear your thoughts!
You are now able to switch weapons with 'Q', or L-bumper/'Y' on gamepad.
