ABOUT THE GAME
What is 'Shtoryshift: Show Must Go On'?
Well, it just an fangame of the Storyshift, which is an AU of Undertale. The entire game bases on the megalo - Show Must Go On by Shade. The game is originally come from Sydist, if you know more, there were too much stories before establishing formally, but I'm lazy to detail.
The details about the game?
It's mainly gaming as a fight against the Sans-role, Chara in the end of Genocide. As the original Undertale Sans fight that you know... But I'm not pretty sure if I should make other things beyond the fight. Probably depends on my efficiency and willing.
And I decide to follow the official details, which is Chara would use the PLANT MAGIC, rather than the magic knives or fire ball. It's much more potential as danmaku, I think. Also I have limited the time of PLAYER's turn, which I think more fairly. for making music more suittable actually. Player can doing any thing before countdown to 0, while the turn won't be closed. Since the FIGHT is blocked by vines, unable to use it. now u see how strong the plant magic is.
I also get jaded by the community. Most of the games surrounds with the skeletons, by their special attacks. I don't blame on this, they're interesting though. But when comes non-special-heart turn, danmaku design become poor and boring. So I introduce the STG danmaku design, more exactly - the TOUHOU PROJECT style. Yes, I'm trying to combine the Undertale fighting system with Touhou, like the Undertale DDD did.
As far as I know, I preparing to add some systems like Bomb, Graze, and Spell Cards. Also the countdown for a turn like the Touhou does, considering that all of turns on Undertale is DURABILITY SPELL(耐久スペル), I may utilise the visual effect instead of sound (too noisy, literally).
Touhou Style?! Will it hard?!
Probably, I have to say. But I think that's because guys in this commuity literally hardly haven't touched the real danmaku game, never knowing how to elude. There are some who don't even know the original Undertale is able to use SHIFT/X for a slow movement at enemy's turn. Actually, most of danmakus doesn't aim the player, it is just huge of, for scaring and being wonderful. Player just need to stay at a quite small space, able to elude most of attacks perfectly. And the BOX of Undertale help you do this, it drew and limited your space, less thinking of eluding.
The difficulty is closed to the EX STAGE of Touhou, which means rating between Normal and Hard. But because of Undertale fight system, we would have much more mistake-tolerance. You see... An entire EX stage allow player miss 8 times in maximum. But you can got about 6 misses in a turn in maximum here, and use a 'pie' or something else, then your HP is maxed out, with 7 items left... LMAO. Don't forget we also have some bombs.
